ebsite design
for hr-agency

The task

The Silkway team wanted a new channel to attract teachers and one place where potential candidates could learn everything about working with them. The solution was a website: colorful, motivating, and built around the idea of changing your life and starting a career abroad.

About project

Silkway is an hr-agency helping english teachers to find a job and relocate to Asia

What was done

  1. Structure elaboration — developed the structure based on the client's request and existing content
  2. Prototyping — to understand how the site structure looks in synergy with the texts, so that the navigation is clear for the user
  3. Design — desktop and mobile; bright, inspiring and animated
  4. Development — bringing it all to life

Home page

Main page was designed for moving to Vietnam, since it’s the main direction of the company's work
The main idea was to create a diary-style, collage website. It looks like printed photos with handwritten notes from the life of an English teacher in Asia — lesson schedules, moments with students, trips to the sea, and weekend adventures like visiting elephants.
The company had many video reviews, but they varied a lot in color and quality. To keep the website clean and consistent, I created a text-based reviews section and placed the videos inside pop-ups. This way, users can quickly read reviews if watching a video isn’t convenient, and open videos or photos whenever they want.
Form request was designed like a letter, filled with photos and handwritten notes. A glimpse into your future life full of adventures — with your application waiting for you inside the envelope.

Blog page

The company had a large library of articles and wanted to share them on the website. The articles are presented as cards styled like printed photos with small notes. A rubricator was added to help users navigate the content quickly and find what they need.

Another destinations page

The company works not only with relocation to Vietnam, so a separate page was created for other destinations. The goal was to clearly separate applications for Vietnam and for other countries, making the choice simple and intuitive for users.

Results

After the project was completed, the client left a detailed review highlighting their satisfaction with the results of our collaboration and noting how long they had been searching for a reliable contractor. They also shared that after the website launch, trust among their target audience — many of whom were already following them on social media — noticeably increased.
We spent about a year searching for a designer for our website project. We tried and started working with several, even making advance payments and ultimately losing money because the result wasn't quite what we wanted. Working with Karina, however, captivated us from the very first second, because she completed a test project unlike anyone else. Everything was structured from the start, several website concepts were thought out, the terms of the work were immediately clear, and she even recorded a video presentation explaining the concept and her background. So we immediately realized that a designer would be working on this project, rather than us forcing them to work, as often happens with freelancers.

Overall, Karina oversaw all subsequent work and structured deadlines, frequently reminding us of what was required of us to speed up the process. And what seemed like a huge amount of work was completed quite quickly; all layouts and designs were approved at once, and before we knew it, we had a finished website, for which we're already receiving applications. Thank you for your work!
